for everyone
I had accumulated enough Asia Miles points for a roundtrip to Hong Kong. When the mom said she planned to go to HK for the holidays, I decided to tag along. My first real vacation in 4 years. Just me, the mom, and a couple of aunts. My mom says I had to relax and take a break from all the stress I have been going through the past years. One of the friends' son had a mild stroke due to stress and hypertension, the guy is only 37 years old.So she treated me for the Xiamen,China part of the trip.We stayed at my aunt's place at downtown Xiamen.

First stop Xiamen,China.I've been hearing about Xiamen especially Tien Shia Tsui or Computer City.I couldn't believe my own eyes when I asked about the prices. Its about 30-40% cheaper compared to Manila. My tablet only costs 60K here.I spent around RMB 1,800 or roughly 9,000 pesos for the following:

- An AMD Athlon 6400 X2 Black Edition 2.8Ghz Processor
- An Yeston AMD PCIe SATA II Motherboard
- Two Kingston 1GB DDR800 RAM equivalent to 2GB of processing power.
- A D-Link Wireless Router
Plus freebies of two 1GB Kingston USB 2.0 Flash Drives, four USB MMC/SD Card Readers, two pairs of Ipod IBuds and a 1GB MMC Card.

In Xiamen alone,my shopping was already complete.Hong Kong will be just whatever I fancy.Dimsum every morning is good.Peking duck or roasted goose everyday is not.I was craving for Tapa King or Binalot already on the second day.

We also went to the outlet store district were everything was on sale. It's also the place to get some DVDs.And I was surprised to find not only Mercedes,BMW and Cadillac dealerships here but also Porsche and Lambourghini.

Here are the pics from the Xiamen leg of the trip.

I've never been to China. One of these days I will put that in my list of places to visit.

Oh my gosh, dimsum breakfasts! I miss HK and my visits there with my dad. It was all about the food and taking walks with him. Dad liked it when it would be a bit cold over there too.
